Bob Hoover Legacy Foundation Names Acting Executive Director

The Bob Hoover Legacy Foundation, the organization formed and sanctioned by Bob Hoover prior to his passing in October of 2016, has appointed Jon Tennyson Acting Executive Director. The announcement was made by Tracy Forrest, President of the Foundation.

Tennyson is a partner in Sleeping Dog Productions, an aviation video and film production company which he co-founded with Scott Guyette in 2006, and a managing partner of, an OTT network that features much of Sleeping Dog’s content. He formerly served as Vice President of Corporate Sponsorship and Television for the Experimental Aircraft Association and Chief Development Ocer for the EAA Foundation.

Tennyson also wrote and directed “The Gift”, a film biography of Bob Hoover’s life and career released by Sleeping Dog in 2016. In making the announcement, Forrest said, “ We believe Jon’s combined aviation, media and development experience, and his years-long relationship with Bob Hoover, make him an ideal leader to help us realize Bob’s vision for his Legacy Foundation.”

Tennyson said, “ It is an honor to be able serve the Bob Hoover Legacy Foundation. I never heard Bob talk about monuments to himself, only of his hopes and dreams for other aviators and for the future of aviation. I know that is the vision of Tracy Forrest, Chairman Michael Herman and the entire Foundation Board – to continue to provide academic scholarships, support organizations that are working to improve aviation’s future and to use digital media to make the inspiration Bob Hoover always provided forever available to future generations of aviators.”

{The Bob Hoover Legacy Foundation is a 501c3 organization conceived and formed by R.A. Bob Hoover, in 2016 to perpetuate Bob’s life-long dedication to aviation learning and safety, and to inspire those qualities in succeeding generations of American aviators.}
